Higgsfield AI
The AI-native creative suite for cinematic video: Cinema Studio, Soul photo model, Popcorn storyboards and dozens of top models in one app. A free mini-course, plus how its credits really work.
What it nails
- Cinema Studio with pro camera and lens controls
- Soul model and Soul ID for consistent faces
- Dozens of top video and image models
Watch out for
- Subscription credits reset and don't roll over
Higgsfield calls itself an "AI-native creative suite". It was founded in 2023 by former Snap executive Alex Mashrabov, and in August 2026 TechCrunch reported a $5.4 billion valuation and 30 million users. Higgsfield is best known for cinematic video: its Cinema Studio lets you "direct AI-generated films scene by scene", with camera moves, lens looks, cast and locations, on top of models like Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 and Veo 3.1.
Start here: the basics
- Pick a tool: Image, Video or Audio for single generations; Cinema Studio for directed scenes; Popcorn for storyboards.
- Pick a model. Higgsfield runs its own Soul models plus Seedance, Kling, Veo, Sora, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Flux and more.
- Write the shot, not just the subject. Higgsfield's own rule: "The variance you see between generations comes directly from everything the words left unspecified about a physical camera move."
- Build assets first. "Before generating any scenes, create a character keyframe and a watch prop sheet."

The tools that make Higgsfield special
1. Cinema Studio 4.0
Launched 12 August 2026. Choose a genre (General, Action, Epic, Drama, Comedy, Horror), an era look from the 1960s to the 2020s, stackable camera moves, lens character (Clinical Sharp, Anamorphic, Warm Halation, Vintage Haze, Extreme Macro), up to 50 references, native 4K and montage pacing.
2. Soul 2.0 and Soul ID
Soul 2.0 is "Higgsfield's foundation photo model built for creative, fashion-aware, culture-native generation", with 20+ presets like Editorial street style, Subtle flash and Y2K Studio. Soul ID learns your face from 20 or more photos (about 3 minutes of training) to keep you consistent in every scene.

3. Consistency: build your props and characters first
Higgsfield's short-film guide makes a prop sheet and a character sheet before any scene, then reuses them as references.
Prop sheet of a wristwatch, multiple orthographic views (front, side, back, top), exploded view showing internal components, detailed material breakdown, cinematic lighting, soft warm light and subtle shadows, slightly stylized realistic rendering, painterly textures, imperfect handcrafted feel, clean neutral background, studio setup, high detail, design sheet layout, annotations and callouts, 3D concept art style, consistent proportions, product design presentation, warm color grading, subtle grain

4. Popcorn storyboards
Popcorn is "the first AI storyboard generator inside Higgsfield", for "cinematic sequences, multi-image stories, or visual campaigns from one intuitive interface".

5. Supercomputer: an agent for your whole pipeline
"An agentic AI that runs your whole creative pipeline": AI Employees like a Motion Designer or Product Photographer, 30+ connectors (Slack, Drive, Notion, Figma), skills, memory and scheduled tasks.
Pro prompting tips from Higgsfield's own guides
- State the structure first: "specify your shot structure upfront... state the number of shots, the total duration, and the aspect ratio at the top of the prompt."
- Say what the camera is NOT doing: "No cuts, no zoom, natural head movement".
- Put effects in brackets: "[VFX: branching electric circuits pulsing with white-blue current]".
- Avoid the plastic look: add "no 3D, no cartoon, no VFX".
- Chain scenes: "Extend @video1. Continue exactly from the white flash of the last frame".

How Higgsfield credits really work
From Higgsfield's own Help Center:
- "Subscription credits reset regularly and don't roll over: on monthly plans with each paid renewal, on annual plans every 30 days."
- Extra Credit Packs need "an active subscription" and last "90 days from purchase".
- Unlimited offers "apply only on higgsfield.ai"; generations through MCP, Canvas or Supercomputer "always deduct credits".
- Failed generations: "You get the credits back automatically" (Grok is the exception, charged when it starts).
- Refunds: within 7 days, with zero credits used, first purchase only, minus a service fee of "up to 6%".

Higgsfield wins on its own tools: Cinema Studio, Soul ID, Popcorn and Supercomputer. For straight generations with Seedance, Kling, Veo or Nano Banana, pay-per-run credits that never expire are simpler. See the full side-by-side on our Lab vs Higgsfield page, or open the Video studio.
Forbes reported in February 2026 on payment delays in Higgsfield's creator program and throttled "unlimited" plans; the company said it "refunded $1.35 million to date to genuine users". In August 2026 WION reported long queues on a 33-day unlimited plan. Read the plan terms before paying for a year.
